It's the most wonderful time of the year...

It's Christmas! And I'm here to show you some of the best fashions I saw:

First...the onesie. Oh yes, I think this piece has made a big comeback.

shown on Sara, Rachel, and Laura Karsten

The other side of the family was also quite stylish:
I love how Kira's look is effortless yet still chic and put-together. I especially adore the ruffly scarf!

Lauren is definitely rocking the tights trend. I love how she layered the tights under shorts for winter. It looks especially cute with the boyfriend-esque sweater, which is extra festive in a red over the green shirt.

And dogs wearing fuzzy halos? Check yes!

Save the Birds

Alright...my newest obsession? I love this Marc by Marc Jacobs "Save the Birds" barrette. LOVE IT. Thing is, I would totally buy it but it's $48 and honestly...I'm not sure how long I'm actually going to love it for. And the fact that it's sold out everywhere.

And I've searched online, but nothing seems quite the same. Hmm. Well, I'll keep looking...

What I Wore Today: November 28

I actually wore this a long time ago, but I just got around to posting it now.

I especially love the embellished neckline.

One With the Boys

We've been seeing this trend for a while now.
What do you think of (in terms of fashion) when you hear the word boyfriend?

Boyfriend jeans? Those slouchy, broken-in jeans that are just sooo comfortable, and also add an element of chic effortlessness to any outfit. They can be found at nearly any store that sells jeans, so look around to find your perfect pair.

Boyfriend blazers? Again, make any outfit look totally put together. Try with sleek, dark-wash skinnies and boots. What about these from Gap? Or this one from Topshop?

Boyfriend sweaters? So comfortable and roomy. I love these for fall. Look around; there are tons of great styles everywhere! Try this Dolman sweater from Gap.

And the list goes on....

The thing about the boyfriend trend is that you don't want to combine more than one piece, or else risk looking sloppy.
So ladies...it's time to man up!

Colors of the Rainbow

Color is everywhere, and I love it. Check out these pictures I've found.

Brian Reyes

Charles Anastase

Halston

Martin Grant

Mark Fast

Tory Burch

A.F. Vandevorst

I love bright colors, especially in fall/winter months, when the weather gets rather dreary. For me, going head to toe in one vivid color is a bit over the top, but what I would do is incorporate a few intense pieces into an outfit. It's a very easy way to completely revamp a look.

Double, double, toil and trouble

Soo...what did YOU dress up as for Halloween?
Since my cousin is such a glamourosus soccer player, I borrowed her garb and went as that. My other friends had some pretty wicked costumes also: Batman, Superman (love!), Audrey Hepburn (love x10!!) and a cowgirl (very cute). Oh, and Katniss Everdeen, from the Hunger Games series, which I thought was awesomely creative.
Yeah, so I thought I was gonna get lots of pictures of us...but  I didn't . Oh well. Here's one of me and my sister and her friend.

Here comes the bride...

Last Saturday, my cousin Wes and his lovely fiancee Sara tied the knot. The wedding was absolutely beautiful! The bad part was it was so fun I didn't take many pictures, but I definitely found some new trends to love!

Let me start with the rehearsal dinner. Many girls (myself included) wore the high-waisted skirt.
Rachel,

Laura,

And me.
The fact that this picture is in black and white doesn't really matter, since everything I wore was either black or white.

I also loved my little sister Claire's outfit.

Old Navy jeweled cardigan, Hannah Andersson Katharine Hepburn-style pants

And now we come to the wedding. As I said before, I discovered many new trends that I love! Such as...

Big jewels, as seen on Allison

Pops of bright color, as seen on Ashleigh

the classic car coat, as seen on Allison

and tiered dresses, as seen on Ashleigh and on me

shoes

necklace

and earrings

Glitzerland!

My new favorite shade of nail polish? Glitzerland, from OPI's Swiss Collection. (It used to be OPI's Dim Sum Plum from their Hong Kong Collection.) It's a gorgeous, shimmery gold. It'll be perfect for the holidays coming up!

Fall In Love With...Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen

This is my new eyeliner from Pixi that I picked up at Target a few weeks ago. Let me tell you...it is AH-MAZING! It's incredibly smooth and long wearing. It glides on so easily. I wore it to school one day, and it lasted the entire day and through P.E. without moving or smearing into the crease. I absolutely LOVE it!

Here it is (in No. 4 Black Cocoa) modeled on my sister Claire.

What I did is draw a thick, dark line on the upper lashline. In my opinion, this is what looks best. I tried it once also on the bottom lashline, but it seemed too thick and dark and made the eye look smaller.

Stripes

Because of all the compliments I've received recently, I decided to blog about my pedicure. Yes, I did do it myself, and it wasn't as complicated as it might look.

Basically, all I did was paint a base color (in this case it was OPI Dim Sum Plum) and then I used polish with long, thin brushes (like these) to paint on the stripes.
What do you think?
